Proxy traffic
Route your own traffic through Waluku's proxy and pay for the data you move. You prepay credit in USDC and are billed per GB; there is no subscription.
How it works
Your wallet is your account. You top up credit with a USDC payment (x402), create a credential (a username and password), and point your client at the proxy. Every GB you move is deducted from your credit. When the credit is gone, open connections are closed and new ones are refused until you add more.
One port serves both HTTP and SOCKS5; the proxy detects which one your client speaks.
Get a credential
- Sign in with a wallet (a regular account such as MetaMask; smart accounts and EIP-7702 wallets are not supported).
- Add credit on the Top up page: $5.00 to $20.00 per payment. You pay once in USDC and the credit appears within seconds.
- On the Proxy page, create a credential and choose a tier. The password is shown once; copy it then. If you lose it, revoke the credential and create a new one.
Connect
Use the host below with your username and password.
Replace USER:PASSWORD with your credential. Host and port: proxy.getwaluku.com:18080.
Billing and limits
| Tier | Price | Pool |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $1.50/GB | Standard pool |
| Premium | $5.00/GB | Separate pool |
- A credential keeps the tier and price it was created with.
- Traffic is counted in both directions and rounded up to the next micro-dollar.
- Usage is metered every few seconds after the bytes flow, so a connection can use a little more than your balance. The excess is deducted from your next top-up.
- Up to 10 active credentials per account and 20 simultaneous connections per credential.
- Credit never expires and top-ups are non-refundable.
Errors
| You see | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 407 | The proxy refused the credential: wrong username or password, a revoked credential, or no credit left. | Check the username and password, then your balance in the account. A credential cannot be un-revoked; create a new one. |
| Connection closed mid-transfer | Your credit ran out (or the credential was revoked) while the connection was open. | Add credit and reconnect. |
| 503 | No upstream is available in the pool your credential uses. | Retry later. |
Security
The username and password reach the proxy unencrypted; that is how HTTP and SOCKS5 proxy authentication work. Use the credential only for this service, and revoke it from the Proxy page if it leaks. HTTPS sites stay encrypted end to end inside the tunnel. Waluku stores only a hash of the password.
